Once activated, this option will literally lock a site within its folder, so if an attacker takes over it, the remaining Internet sites in the account will be hidden. Thus they will be protected from further intrusion. The JailHost option does not mean that you should not keep your Internet sites up-to-date, but it'll greatly minimize the damage.
JailHost in Cloud Website Hosting
If you host your websites in a cloud website hosting account from our firm, you will be able to protect them using the JailHost option with just a few mouse clicks in your Hepsia Control Panel. This feature is available with all packages and can be activated for every folder because the domains and subdomains in Hepsia have different folders, so that files for various Internet sites do not get mixed up as it usually happens with other Control Panels. We haven't activated JailHost by default because you may use scripts which need access to folders outside the main website folder and this option could interfere with their correct operation, but protecting all other folders is very easy. In case a secured Internet site gets hacked for some reason, we'll be able to recover it easily as we will have multiple daily backup copies of your entire account and you will even be able to search the available backups in Hepsia.
JailHost in Semi-dedicated Servers
JailHost is provided with all of our semi-dedicated server packages, so if you host a couple of websites, you will be able to separate them from one another to keep them safe. The option must be activated for each Internet site and is not enabled by default, so as to avoid interference with scripts that need access to multiple folders inside the account. Activating it for all other websites will take no more than a few mouse clicks inside the Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Unlike other Control Panels, Hepsia doesn't place several Internet sites under the main domain folder. Instead, each and every domain or subdomain has its very own folder, which makes it easier to take care of and shield your sites. In case that an Internet site in your account is hacked, not only will your other Internet sites remain untouched, but we will also be able to restore the damaged Internet site before you know it because we will have multiple backups of your whole content.
